Building capacity in China

BioRegional has submitted a proposal to the UK Government Foreign and Commonwealth Office, to the Strategic Programme Fund. The submission is a joint project with ESD and CCDI, energy specialists and an architecture practice.

If successful, the project will allow BioRegional to employ three full time staff at our China office and to work with our partners to develop low carbon policies for building energy use in China. There are currently limited energy efficiency regulations for buildings in China and this programme would trial low carbon solutions for new developments and regeneration projects.

The BioRegional part of the submission has been developed by Xiaohong Chen and Alastair McMahon (pictured below). Our project has made it through to the final round of assessment and we hope to hear soon if we have been successful.
